Rapid Cultural and Linguistic Integration: Young TS2023 Professionals Thriving in Quebec

My husband and I came to Canada in December 2023 with a TS2023 visa. Before coming here, my husband lived in the earthquake-affected region in Türkiye and personally experienced the devastating effects of the disaster. Since arriving in Canada, he has been working as a chef at a French restaurant and has been doing this job passionately for almost two years.

When we first arrived, we could only speak English, but now we are improving our French and can communicate easily in daily life. I have been working as a Quality Technician for the past six months. We are truly grateful for all the opportunities and the quality of life that Canada offers. We genuinely love being here and want to continue building our future in this country. We are currently 30 and 31 years old, and we strongly believe that we can become valuable, high-quality immigrants who will contribute positively to Canadian society. One day, if we have a child, we would be proud for them to be born and raised as a Canadian citizen.

Mon mari et moi sommes arrivés au Canada en décembre 2023 avec un visa TS2023. Avant notre arrivée, mon mari vivait dans une région touchée par le tremblement de terre en Turquie et il a personnellement vécu les conséquences dévastatrices de cette catastrophe. Depuis notre installation au Canada, il travaille comme chef dans un restaurant français et exerce ce métier avec passion depuis presque deux ans. À notre arrivée, nous ne parlions qu’anglais, mais maintenant nous apprenons le français et nous pouvons communiquer facilement dans la vie quotidienne. Pour ma part, je travaille comme technicienne en qualité depuis six mois. Nous sommes très reconnaissants pour toutes les opportunités et la qualité de vie que le Canada nous offre. Nous aimons sincèrement vivre ici et souhaitons continuer à construire notre avenir dans ce pays. Nous avons actuellement 30 et 31 ans, et nous croyons sincèrement que nous pouvons devenir des immigrants de qualité qui contribueront positivement à la société canadienne. Un jour, si nous avons un enfant, nous serions fiers qu’il naisse et grandisse en tant que citoyen canadien.
